Back from blog quarantine …

Monday, May 23, 2022

Well, folks, I’m back — well, actually, my blog is back. I haven’t gone anywhere. My blog however is a different story.

First, the account that hosts this blog and several others is with a single provider. I actually purchased this account close to 20 years ago on eBay. It was quite a deal because I have unlimited ability to start new blogs, either as flat HTML or WordPress.

But that account was compromised when some files were compromised and some coding was changed — changed in dozens and dozens of files across more than a dozen file folders on that account. I had to go thru the list of infected files and either delete them entirely, or delete the suspicuse coding from the infected files.

RADIO BUSINESS AS USUAL. /In the weeks since my blog went dark, things have been pretty much business as usual in Studio C.

With summer conditions the bands have had their ups and downs; but I’ve been able to be a fairly constant participant of the Georgia CW traffic net.

The primary station rig is still my faithful Drake TR-7 with RV-7 remote VFO. I adore that rig, and with the CW filter its hard for modern rigs to beat it.

ANTENNA INTERUPTUS. I was off the air for about a week after I accidentally pulled apart my 300-ohn feedline at the spot where I repaired it. I repaired it this time using some crimped connectors that are less likely to pull apart (or that’s my hope).

EBAY SALES CONTINUE. I’ve sold a number of my bugs but none in the past month or two.. My work has kept me really busy, but I’ve got to get back on the selling trail.

As for now, its just really great to be back!
